Philosophy and Training System

Philosophy

At the U8 Fusion Talent School focus is simple:

FUN - FUN - FUN

after all the players are only 6/7 years old.....

The U8 Fusion Talent School is designed to ensure one main purpose Fusion SC has: enjoyment!!! The social aspect it provides the players is essential when trying to instill confidence in young athletes. The Fusion Talent School will typically have one team, at times two. Each team at the U8 Fusion Talent School age group will have 12 players.

Training System

The players train two times a week once the spring season has started
The first practice of the week focuses solely on technical competency. At U8, the techniques are still basic: proper passing, dribbling, touch, and shooting. The players will also be given tasks to perform for each technique. Each task can be completed at one of five levels: Maroon, Gold, Black, White and Green, Maroon being the highest and Green the lowest.
The second practice of the week concentrates on small-numbered games. These games will relate to the first practice of the week. For example, if the technical focus was passing then the small-sided game will be focused on passing.

Fusion Soccer Club is very proud of the Professional Coaching staff they provide. In Addition to being highly licensed and experienced, our coaches ooze character. We believe any coach can get a license, but not all coaches have class and character. Fusion Coaches believe connecting with the players and creating a positive learning environment is pinnacle in player development.

Player Development Plan

Fusion SC is committed to creating a clear development path for players and parents to understand. We feel it is essential for our members to see what we are teaching and providing the players. The main goal of Fusion SC is to make players and parents buy into what we do and provide. The biggest problem in youth soccer is club hopping by parents looking for the program they desire. At Fusion SC, we want everyone to know what we deliver and what learning outcomes they should expect. Being transparent is essential and Fusion SC recognizes that.

Each age group has a Player Development Plan that is followed on an 8-week rotation throughout the year. This development plan shows key learning methodologies for the players ages and also the learning topics and outcomes. As a player in Fusion SC, this development plan will progress with you each year, and the outcomes and topics will change to be age appropriate.

Costs Breakdown

Fusion Talent School Flat Fees: $950

Included in Fees:
A full year of professional coaching - professionally coached practices and games
Field Fees - practice fields, game fields, turf fields, lining fields and cutting fields.
Referee Fees - League games, state cup games and tournaments.
Player registration - NorCal or CYSA
League Fees - All league direct costs. Insurance, DOC fees, office and legal fees.
Tryouts
Kick-off Summer Camp in July

Additional expected fees

(Can be raised through team fundraisers)
Uniforms - $250+ needed every 3 years
Tournament entry - $75

Fusion SC prides itself on being one of the lowest-costing clubs around at the Premier Level. Furthermore, Fusion SC provides more professional training than other clubs and also has a high standard of field quality.

Payment Schedule

First payment due when accepting place on team:

Team acceptance date: March 8th - $250
Second payment due April 1st - $250
Third payment due June 1st - $250
Final payment due August 1st $200

Payment plans are available after the initial $250 deposit as been paid.

Yearly Calendar

Practice days and game days are an estimate from the previous year. Practice days will be updated once confirmed.
