The LARPD Board of Directors voted to reject all bids at its meeting on June 15, 2011. The project has been rescheduled to be rebid in early 2012. At the request of Fusion SC and in order to minimize regulatory and environmental complications associated with winter construction, the District has decided to reschedule the start of construction for Spring 2012.

Project Update
3/16/2011

This is a follow on information update for the upcoming project.

LARPD has approved the 100% design drawings for the Robertson Park resurfacing project.  The plan includes artificial turf on both lighted fields with permanent soccer (yellow) and football (white) striping, and markers for laying out temporary lines for girls and boys lacrosse.

New drinking water facilities will be available at each team area on each field for ease of getting water.  New electrical will be run throughout the area underneath and around the turf playing surface in preparation for future scoreboards, and for events that may require power.  Football goal posts will be installed in sleeves so they can be removed or rotated to not interfere with soccer play.

LARPD’s tentative schedule is to go out to bid in March/April, with bid openings and construction starting in May/June.  The current schedule is to finish everything in December, however Fusion SC will work diligently with LARPD to make sure that the fields will be open for play for our Fall season, even if some of the miscellaneous finish work may lag till the end of the year.

This will be a state of the art, modern sports facility that will greatly benefit our children into the future. Fusion SC is very proud to be an integral part of bringing this dream to reality for Livermore.

The estimated project cost is about $2.2M including $600K of funding through Fusion SC.
