Overview
The Recreational Plus Program is designed primarily for the entry/intermediate level soccer player and is devoted to the enjoyment of the game in a more competitive environment with higher level of training, time, local travel and financial commitments. The purpose of the program is to provide an opportunity for the participant to further develop the technical skills, understanding of the game and be trained by the club’s professional coaching staff during (13) 90 minute team training sessions conducted once per week starting in August.
Teams are grouped by age categories U9/U10, U11/U12 and U13/U14 ONLY independent of skill level or natural talent and ability. (Note that in this program the U9s are grouped with the U10's and the teams are not age pure as in the Recreational program. That is how this particular league is organized by the Mustang Soccer administrators.)
This is a recreation program with open registration. Players will have to indicate if they wish to participate in this program during the registration period.
Typically the season practices start in July with Professional Coaching support for (10) weeks with additional (10) weeks of Fusion Fridays Skill Clinics with Professional Coaches. League play follows in September through November. Recreational Plus teams also participate in two local tournaments held specifically for Rec Plus teams. All Rec Plus coaches are parent volunteers.
Program Cost for 2011
$225 program fee in addition to the $175 registration fee ($175 + $200 = $400)
